Privacy Policy - Super Markdown
Last updated: August 24, 2026
This policy describes how the Super Markdown app (the "App"), developed by Simply Luca Apps, handles data related to users and devices. The App is a markdown editor with a live preview, letting you open, edit, save, and export markdown files stored on your device or a cloud storage provider you connect through Android's own file picker.
Data collected and how it is handled
Super Markdown does not require an account, has no server of its own, and does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. The markdown files you open or save stay wherever you chose to store them (your device or a cloud provider you pick via the system file picker) — the App never uploads their content anywhere on its own. There is no analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising.
The App declares the Android INTERNET permission solely so its live preview can load images your own markdown document references by URL (e.g. ). No other network activity happens: the App does not otherwise send or fetch anything over the internet.
Third-party services used
The App does not integrate any third-party services: no accounts, no cloud services of its own, no analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries. If you open or save a file through a cloud storage provider (e.g. Nextcloud, Google Drive) using Android's file picker, that provider's own app and privacy policy govern that transfer — Super Markdown only receives the file content you explicitly chose to open, through the operating system's standard document picker.
Permissions requested
- Internet: used only to load remote images referenced by URL inside a markdown document you are previewing, as explained above.
The App does not request storage, contacts, location, camera, microphone, or any other runtime permission. Opening, saving, and exporting files is done entirely through Android's Storage Access Framework (the system "Open"/"Save" file picker), which does not require the App to hold any broad storage permission.
How to delete your data
Since no data ever leaves your device except the images your own document explicitly links to, there is nothing held by Simply Luca Apps to request deletion of. You can remove any locally cached state (such as the last-opened file preference) at any time from Settings → Apps → Super Markdown → "Clear data", or by uninstalling the App.
Minimum recommended age
The App does not collect personal data and has no social or user-contact features, so it is not subject to any particular age restriction; it can be used by anyone.
